From 2006 to 2008, CFJC's efforts focused on organizing our members to advocate for a fair and healthy Federal Farm Bill that prioritized fresh-food access, environmental sustinability, and equal support of small-scale, beginning and socially-disadvantaged farmers.

In order to build a sustainable food system, growing food must be recognized as a valuable and important use for land in rural and urban areas. As a precursor to our Grow Local campaign, CFJC has developed resources related to preserving land for food production.

From 2004 to 2006, CFJC's Healthy Farms / Healthy School cmapaign worked to increase public awareness of and support for farm-to-institution initiatives through policy adoption and public investment
